Functional Nutrition Practitioner and Metabolic Health Educator Tanya Pennington-Miller is on a mission to help women better understand their bodies, hormones, and metabolism so they can finally see results that last.
She is the founder of Nutrition to Thrive, an online business that supports women through programs like her 21-Day Primal Reset and 12-week DNA Reset for Fat Loss Academy.
Here’s a quick snapshot of her recent launch:
Generated $33K in revenue during her first launch week with EzyCourse.
Built a high-converting launch using her podcast, email list, and a single masterclass.
Grew her audience through education-based content and long-form teaching.
Attracted highly aligned clients without relying on aggressive sales tactics.
Tanya built her business around a clear focus: helping women understand what their body is actually responding to in this season of life.
Her work centers on root-cause physiology, nervous system support, and practical strategies that align with how the body is designed to function, rather than relying on restriction, overtraining, or one-size-fits-all approaches.
To better understand how she achieved this level of growth, we asked Tanya to share more about her approach.
Here’s what she had to say.
What Inspired You to Choose Your Profession or Start This Line of Work?
My work really came out of my own experience.
For years, I was very disciplined with my health. I coached athletes, trained consistently, and followed the strategies that were considered “correct.” And for a long time, those approaches worked…until they didn’t.
I started experiencing weight gain, fatigue, hair thinning, and hormone-related symptoms that didn’t make sense, especially because my labs were coming back “normal.” That disconnect is what pushed me to look deeper.
What I found was that there was a gap between what women were being told to do and what their physiology actually needed, especially in midlife.
That’s what led me into functional nutrition and metabolic health, and it’s what shaped the work I do today.
I don’t just teach strategies. I help women understand why their body is responding the way they are, so they can work with them instead of constantly trying to override them.
What Specific Actions or Strategies Helped You Experience Such Strong Growth?
The biggest shift for me was moving away from trying to say more and focusing on saying what actually matters.
Instead of broad or generic messaging, I started speaking directly to the patterns I see in women over 35. What it feels like when your body stops responding. When your energy is inconsistent. When your labs don’t match your symptoms.
That level of specificity changed everything.
“When you can clearly explain what’s happening and why, people don’t need convincing. They’re already leaning in.’’
What Marketing Method Did You Use to Help Your Work?
From a marketing standpoint, I leaned heavily into education-based content and long-form teaching.
My podcast, emails, and masterclass allowed me to explain the physiology in a way that builds trust and clarity.
Rather than trying to convince women to join my program, I focused on helping them see what’s happening in their body. Once that clicks, the next step becomes much more natural.
What Did You Really Do to Generate $33K in Your First Launch Week?

The biggest difference was that the offer was built on clarity, not persuasion.
I didn’t try to sell a generic outcome like weight loss. I built the entire offer around helping women understand why their body had stopped responding and what to do about it based on their own data.
The masterclass played a key role in that. It walked women through a clear progression. Why things changed, why what they’ve tried hasn’t worked, and what their body actually needs now.
By the time I introduced the program, it didn’t feel like a pitch. It felt like the next step.
What Made the Biggest Difference?
From an execution standpoint, I kept things simple. One clear message, one aligned offer, and a consistent conversation across my content.
I also offered a bonus for those who signed up right away, and another bonus for those who signed up in the first 48 hours.
From a mindset standpoint, I approached the launch as an extension of my work. I stayed focused on serving the women who were ready, rather than trying to reach everyone.

If you are interested in learning more about the journey of Tanya Pennington-Miller, let's now explore her journey through our lens.
Where the Journey Began
At 18 years old, Tanya earned her certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the International Sports Sciences Association.
By 20, she was competing in figure competitions and eventually reached the national stage. Later, she transitioned into CrossFit, traveling across the country to compete.
Yes, she loved the discipline, intensity, and edge. But something wasn’t adding up.
The women around her were training harder than ever yet still frustrated by stalled results, hormone issues, fatigue, and plateaus.
That question leads her to learn about nutrition to help her body and health.
Becoming a Functional Nutrition Practitioner

Through her adult life, her curiosity led her into a deeper study of clinical nutrition, metabolism, hormones, adrenal health, and blood sugar regulation.
She also managed supplement stores before opening her own, Total Nutrition, which she ran successfully for a decade.
At the same time, she built Nourish to Thrive, LLC, coaching competitive athletes in figure and physique divisions.
But her work expanded beyond aesthetics.
She earned a Master’s degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition and continued advancing her credentials. That’s when she officially became:
Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
Restorative Wellness Practitioner.
Certified Diabetes Specialist.
Fasting Specialist for Women.
Taking the First Step Toward Her Goal
Tanya initially built her online business using Kajabi, where she began creating programs and resources to support women in understanding their health more deeply.
As her work grew, so did her community. Women were drawn to her clear, physiology-based approach and the way she translated complex concepts into something they could actually apply in their daily lives.
“I love helping women understand what’s really going on in their body,” she shares. “Watching things start to click for them, and seeing their energy, confidence, and results shift as a result, is what makes this work so meaningful.”
But as her programs expanded and her audience grew, she began to notice gaps in the platform she was using.
Something was missing.
Tanya's First Experience with EzyCourse
After five years on Kajabi, Tanya began looking for a platform that could better support the direction her business was heading.
She knew her work had the potential to reach more women and deliver a more streamlined experience, but the platform she was using wasn’t fully supporting that next level.
“I started looking for a platform that could better support the growth and vision I have for my business,” she shares, “especially one that offered a branded mobile app without the massive price tag.”

That search is what led her to EzyCourse.
So, How Has Her Experience with EzyCourse Been?

“At first, I signed up for the Annual Unlimited plan, and the process of getting my website and white-label app set up has been very smooth,” she shares.
The level of support stood out immediately. It gave her the guidance she felt was missing before and allowed her to move forward with more clarity and confidence.
And the results followed quickly.
Within her first launch week on the platform for her DNA Reset Academy, Tanya generated $33,564 in revenue by enrolling 12 women into her program.
She did this without running ads, relying instead on her podcast, email marketing, and consistent social content.
“Today, I officially upgraded to the Elite Lifetime plan, and I couldn’t be more excited.”
She also values the simplicity of the course creation tools, along with the ability to organize and deliver her content in a way that feels clear and structured for her clients.

With built-in email campaigns and automation, she’s able to stay connected with her audience while continuing to grow her programs.

“If you’re on the fence or just exploring, know this: I’ve been in this space for a while, and moving to EzyCourse was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my business.”
Now, she’s able to focus more fully on her work, supporting women in understanding their health, while continuing to scale her business in a way that feels aligned.
Looking Ahead: What’s Next

Tanya’s vision extends beyond a single program or launch.
She plans to:
Expand her hormone-supportive, faith-rooted programs.
Create additional tools and resources for women in different seasons of health.
Continue building a community centered on clarity, education, and support.
Use EzyCourse to reach more women while maintaining a personal, high-touch experience.
For Tanya, this work is ongoing. Each client, each launch, and each piece of content contributes to a larger mission of helping women understand their bodies and respond with confidence.
We wish Tanya continued success as she expands her work, and if her story resonates with you, consider sharing it with your community.
